Bikers for charity began life in the summer of 2005, when a few local bikers were invited attend a wedding as a guard of honor. Everyone involved kept in touch and decided to hold a Christmas toy run. The toy run, for the children’s ward at Altnagelvin Hospital, took place in November 2005 and was attended by around 200 bikers. As with most bikers things were quite during the winter.

The next event was the Easter egg run held for the children of Belmont House School. This was also a big success with many local Bikers lending their support. Since 2006 Bikers for Charity have attended many motorbike club rallies and held their own summer event, The Inishowen 100 rally in July.

Bikers for Charity continues to grow in strength and now has over 20 members on the books. We don't mind if you ride a motorbike or a scooter if riding for years or just started, everyone is welcome. We have ambitious plans for the future and hope to raise even more money for worthy causes in 2008.
